My name is Doug Sumey and I am the Theatre Program Director at Assumption High School.  I have been working in professional theatre for over sixteen years as a producer, director, actor, and educator.  My most recent professional experience was with Kentucky Shakespeare Festival where I was the Education Director for 6 years and Managing Director 2 years.  At Assumption High School I teach all of the theatre coursework including Acting I, Acting II, and Technical Theatre.  In addition, I am the producer of the Rose Theatre Company, Assumption's theatre program.  Annually we produce a fall musical, the BLOOM Theatre Project which is social justice theatre thematically tied to mission week, and a spring play.  If you have an interest in participating in, volunteering for, or making a donation to the theatre program I encourage you to email me at doug.sumey@ahsrockets.org.  Thank you!
